We’ve been helping people build, improve or finance places to call home for more than 50 years. While the challenges are different, the severity of the housing crisis is no less in rural areas and smaller towns than in urban and suburban areas. In 2026, home prices and interest rates raised the costs of homebuying to historic highs, pricing out millions of potential first-time buyers, slowing homeownership growth and exacerbating disparities in homeownership.
We must join forces with our neighbors to open the door to safe, stable housing, so families have the freedom to focus on what matters most: empowering them to build their future on their own terms.
