Habitat for Humanity of Oregon is excited to announce a new leadership role — the Director of Lending. This full-time position marks an important milestone in our organization’s continued growth and expanding impact across the state.
As an emerging Community Development Financial Institution, Habitat Oregon is committed to strengthening pathways to affordable homeownership, particularly for families and individuals in rural and underserved communities. The Director of Lending will play a central role in advancing this mission by developing new lending products, stewarding our loan portfolio, and ensuring compliance with all CDFI and fiscal reporting requirements.
As a member of Habitat Oregon’s leadership team, the Director of Lending will work closely with local Habitat affiliates, financial institutions, foundations, and community partners to expand lending capacity and deepen collaboration statewide. Over time, the role will also support long-term organizational sustainability by generating earned income to strengthen operations and resilience.

Position details
- Title: Director of Lending
- Status: Full-time, exempt
- Salary: $110,000 to $128,000, depending on experience
- Work model: Hybrid, with occasional in-person meetings in Portland and statewide travel
- Benefits: Medical and vision insurance, dental coverage (cafeteria plan), generous paid leave, paid holidays, 3% retirement match, and monthly cell phone stipend
