Across Oregon, we’re celebrating Habitat for Humanity’s 50th anniversary by elevating the power of home and inviting communities statewide to join the movement.
It’s where we feel safe, raise our families, pursue opportunity, and put down roots in our communities. But across Oregon and around the world, too many people are locked out of that foundation. Rising housing costs continue to put safe, stable homeownership out of reach for thousands of Oregonians.
We know that every safe, affordable home sparks wider change. When families have a stable place to live, children are more likely to succeed in school, health outcomes improve, and households can build financial stability over time. Strong homes build stronger communities — and a stronger Oregon.
That’s why Habitat has spent more than 50 years helping people around the world build, improve, and finance places to call home. And here in Oregon, we’re building on that momentum — expanding access to affordable homeownership, strengthening local capacity, and advocating for the policies and resources needed to meet the scale of the housing crisis.
Through Habitat’s global Let’s Open the Door campaign, we’re bringing housing to center stage — and inviting Oregonians to be part of the solution.
Together, we can open the door to brighter futures for families across Oregon.
