Lending and Compliance Manager — Habitat Portland Region »

Type: On-site

Salary range: $66,547.00 to $81,520.11 salaried

Description: You’re fascinated by how affordable homeownership can change lives — and you love making the complex world of lending clear, compliant, and accessible. You bring deep knowledge of mortgage lending, compliance regulations, and affordable housing programs, and you’re energized by helping people navigate systems that often feel intimidating or opaque. You love being both a strategist and a mentor. You oversee the lending functions that keep Habitat’s program running smoothly—from origination and closing to servicing and resale — while also guiding and supporting staff as they grow in their own lending expertise. You’re at your best when collaborating across teams and with external partners. You work hand-in-hand with lenders, title companies, and city partners to streamline processes, troubleshoot challenges, and make sure every home sale closes smoothly and sustainably. You take pride in designing systems that are both efficient and equitable. You’re constantly thinking about how to reduce barriers, strengthen compliance, and ensure lasting affordability for homebuyers. You’re someone who balances precision with purpose. You care about accuracy and accountability, but your motivation comes from the people behind every loan file — the families reaching their goal of homeownership.
