Position title: Mortgage Origination Specialist
Where: Portland, OR
Description: The Mortgage Origination Specialist will join a highly functioning and capable team to begin offering new mortgage origination services to Oregon Habitat for Humanity affiliates. This staff member will work directly with affiliate representatives approximately two months prior to home sale to verify the income, assets and credit of the buyer(s), set the term of the mortgage, input all information into the mortgage software system and manage the timely release of all disclosures. Working with the third party mortgage Loan Origination Software (LOS) contractor and the affiliate, the Mortgage Origination Specialist will set the closing date, create and deliver escrow closing instructions and coordinate document recordings. Responsibilities include documenting all HFHO mortgage origination procedures, facilitating the use of down-payment and mortgage buy-down assistance programs and assisting with government reporting and compliance.
